Join us in January during Human Trafficking Awareness Month to discover the widespread health related consequences of trafficking and the warning signs for medical professionals.

Training for Health Care Professionals

Time: 5PM – 9PM

Description: CHI St. Luke’s Health is hosting a training for health care professionals. It will feature presentations from United Against Human Trafficking and Wendy Macias- Konstantopoulos, MD, MPH. Dr. Macias-Konstantopoulous is a board-certified emergency physician at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and assistant professor of emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Speaker: Wendy Macias-Konstantopoulos, MD, MPH

Wendy Macias-Konstantopoulos, MD, is a board-certified emergency physician at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and assistant professor of emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School. A graduate of the Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Macias-Konstantopoulos is a pioneer in promoting and advancing the health sector’s role in combating human trafficking.

She is director of the MGH Human Trafficking Initiative and founding medical and executive director of the Mass General Freedom Clinic.

A leading expert in hospital-based anti-trafficking efforts through research, education, public policy, and clinical care, Dr. Macias-Konstantopoulos’ expertise and consultation are sought by many hospital systems across the country.
